Brisbane Birth Photographer – Twin C-Section Birth Story
On the 1st February 2016 Brisbane Birth Photographer Angie Petersen was invited to capture the birth of Emily Parker and Paige Ava at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. They were born via C-Section birth safely at 33weeks +6days gestation. The birth went well and babies were great. Paige was in ICU for just a short time with the C-pap machine to just even out her breathing but was moved into special care with her sister Emily later that afternoon which was awesome. Due to the circumstances we werent able to get any photos with mum and dad on monday so I offered to head back up to the hospital once they were stable enough for cuddles to take more photos.
I drove up to the Royal Brisbane Hospital this morning to do those photos. The girls are doing such an amazing job! Little fighters thats for sure and already are stubborn as the nurses say lol. It was so exciting to see mum and dad hold them together for the first time. (mum did have a quick cuddle monday night but i wasnt there) Nan even got a cuddle with little Emily today which was so beautiful to capture too. Its these times you cannot get back so the memories become priceless. When you are so busy with a new baby let alone two new babies in special care it makes more reason to capture every moment even when you think its not important. In years to come they may be the only memories you have left as your memories fade.
Aiden wasnt so sure about it all and didnt really know what was going on with these two little babies that came from who knows where? Well thats most likely what he thinks anyway. But he was very gentle once he was coached to come and finally say hello to the girls. So sweet! He is going to be a proud big brother in due time im sure.
I want to say a huge congratulations to Nicole and Tim again on the birth of your beautiful baby girls. They are truly adorable and I cannot wait till they come home from hospital to do their newborn session. Yay!
