Brisbane Newborn Photographer – Amy's Newborn Session

Blog readers, today I have the honor of introducing you to baby Amy Kate's newborn photoshoot. She is now 5weeks and 3days today but was only 4 days old here in her photos 🙂

I think we can all agree her little chubby cheeks should earn her a spot on the cover of every baby magazine in the nation! Seriously, I'm practically melting from cuteness overload!

Anyway, as you can see from the pictures below, Amy Kate and I had one of the best sessions together. Her mum, Judy was nice and organised and brought along some hand knitted items from Amy's great grandmother to have some photos in also. Her preparation efforts allowed us to have an especially awesome shoot together.

Amy slept most of the way through the 4hour session. And when she wasnt sleeping Amy was pretty relaxed but wanted a little drink 🙂 She couldnt have been any better.

Because the shoot went so well, I asked Judy if she would share one helpful piece of advice with other mothers planning a newborn session (see Ive got your back mums around the world). Her biggest piece of advice is to "book the session in the earlier the better". 

Newborn sessions are best done in the first 10days of the birth. This ensures they are nice and sleepy, still very curly and easy to pose, less likely to wake easy when moved, less likely to move when placed into props which is a safety priority for me. Safety is my number one priority with newborn session.

I have a huge assortment of props to use from backdrops, floor boards, bonnets, wraps, blankets etc etc so you can be ensured you will have unique images of your newborn baby. 🙂
